Say Congrats to Usher and his wife, Tameka, because they welcomed a baby boy on Monday night, his rep has confirmed. "We are so happy and proud of our beautiful son," the couple said in a statement. "What a blessing!" Usher Raymond V was born in Atlanta, Ga. at 9:55 p.m., and weighed in at 7 lbs. 9 oz., according to the statement. A source tells PEOPLE that Usher was with his wife and new child Tuesday at an Atlanta hospital, and the family is expected to head home on Wednesday.

Kanye West has issued a statement in regards to his mother's passing:

"Kanye West, his family and friends would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support and kind words that have come in from across the country since the death of his mother, Dr. Donda West.

"After working in higher education for 31 years, Dr. Donda West and Kanye West co-founded the Kanye West Foundation with the mission of helping to combat the severe dropout problem in high schools across the country. The first and signature initiative of the Kanye West Foundation is Loop Dreams. Designed to capitalize on students existing interest in hip-hop, Loop Dreams challenges students to learn more about what's behind hip-hop culture in order to help them develop skills, express themselves creatively and be empowered.

"In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Dr. West's name to the Kanye West Foundation/Loop Dreams Teacher Training Institute. Those donations can be made by visiting the Foundation's Web site, www.KanyeWestFoundation.org or by mail at Kanye West Foundation, 8560 W. Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90069."

Dr. Donda West passed away on Saturday due to complications from breast reduction and tummy-tuck surgeries. She was 58 years old.

Right now, the record's done," Simpson told MTV News, "but I'm one of those types where I like to continue to write, write, write. The album is slated for release in March, and the single is in January."

"The first single, for which she's shooting the video in December, is the Timbaland-produced "Out of My Head (Ay Ya Ya)." It's a song that her father Joe previously joked was about Ashlee's mom, Tina, though Ashlee explained it was about everyone in her life. "It's about too many voices, too many people having their own opinion," she said, "so it's not necessarily about my mom. I love my mom — there's no sides here — and my dad gets to hear me say all the sweetest things about him. It's mainly a fun, dancey song. I think it's got a little bit of an '80s feel to it, too — you'll hear that in it. But at the same time, it's Timbaland.

Pop singer Ashlee Simpson revealed some cool info about her upcoming album to MTV News! So we're gonna get the first single January 2008 and the album in March. But! About the first single, she says it's titled "Out of My Head (Ay Ya Ya)", so at the end Ashlee decided to go with another song as the lead single instead of "Murder" (Title of the original first single, also produced by Timbo). Can't wait for the album!
